As we all know, the challenges are huge: dwindling biodiversity, rising CO₂ emissions, the dangerous loss of vast habitats - and the urgent question is how we can overcome these complex crises with smart strategies in politically unpredictable times. We need new perspectives, bold ideas and the strength to think across disciplines.

The ZEIT WISSEN Congress 2025 invites you to explore precisely these topics: innovative, interdisciplinary, inspiring. On September 16, 2025, we will bring together leading personalities from a wide variety of fields: Climate researchers who point out new perspectives, entrepreneurs who do business sustainably, politicians who are willing to explore new solutions and activists who are driving change. Together, they want to develop strategies that not only preserve our biosphere, but also make it more liveablefor everyone .

How do we create global climate alliances that have an impact? How do we harness the power of new narratives to make the urgency of the climate crisis even more visible and tangible? What solutions protect our biodiversity? And how are food, agriculture and the preservation of our livelihoods connected? We are becoming increasingly aware of this as global temperatures rise: People in the global South are usually the biggest victims of the climate crisis. What needs to change in order to establish a fairer climate policy? These and other questions are more important than ever - and they are the focus of the ZEIT WISSEN Congress 2025.
