Zelia Fonseca, guitarist, singer and songwriter from the south-east of Brazil, has been shaping the Kulturfenster's "welten hören" series for several years now. At "Zelia presents..." every concert is unique, as Zelia always plays with different guests. This time she brings Barbara Rodrix, Makely Ka and Marcio Tubino to our stage.
Barbara Rodrix
Singer, songwriter and Brazilian. She has lived in Lisbon, Portugal since 2019. At the age of 15, she recorded her first album "Ninguém me conhece", which was produced by her father Zé Rodrix. Her new work entitled 'Air' is an EP with 6 songs written by Barbara with vocals, guitars and trumpet, presenting a sound that highlights the songs, just as they were composed. It is an immersion into Barbara's intimate and personal universe.
Makely Ka
Makely is a Brazilian composer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has released six albums and composed soundtracks for theater, film and dance that have received awards, nominations and critical acclaim. He has played on some of Brazil's biggest stages and has performed in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Lithuania, Denmark, Portugal, Spain and Mexico.
Marcio Tubino
The Brazilian Márcio Tubino has lived in Munich for many years, where he is one of the most sought-after jazz musicians. As a saxophonist, flautist, percussionist and also as a composer and arranger, the Brazilian has worked with important musicians on the European jazz scene. To date, he has recorded seven CDs with various formations, including the "Tukamama" project with Martin Kälberer.
