3rd prize, International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2023

With an impressive interpretation of Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 7, Zhouhui Shen earned her place in the final of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2023. Born in China in 2001, she was subsequently celebrated as a "shining star" - and rightly so! After all, she has already won numerous prizes at national and international competitions, including the Juilliard Piano Concerto Competition 2022 and the International Grotrian Piano Competition 2018. In Bonn, Zhouhui Shen won third prize with Beethoven's Second Piano Concerto. And the young pianist also has Beethoven in her luggage at Heinersdorff: in addition to his Six Bagatelles op. 126, we can look forward to Debussy's colorful Images and Sergei Rachmaninov's late Romantic 13 Préludes.
