Early Moods
The second album from Early Moods, A Sinner's Past,
is the ultimate dose of classic early 70s proto-metal
of the early 70s, grunge riffs of the 90s and timeless
songwriting with an explosive youthful energy.
The quartet from the Los Angeles area emerged
2022 on their self-titled
RidingEasy debut album with a sound that is simultaneously
simultaneously gritty underground street doom and slick
slick heavy metal melodies. And
it is the band's highly skilled musicianship
paired with exquisite aesthetic taste - in
in addition to their dazzling live show - made them an instant
made them an instant crowd favorite.
A Sinner's Past introduces these elements with a
allusion to the tremendous sonic depth of
Soundgarden, the low-mid fuzz infused sounds of Sabotage and the
sounds of Sabotage and the classic 70s melodies and
70s melodies and structures of the Scorpions from the
from the Ulli Roth era. Above all
the latter inspire the complicated
shifts in sound and shimmering twin leads
of the album.
