Zollstock I zu Fuß

In the organizer's words:

The Zollstock district is associated with the Südfriedhof cemetery, Cologne's largest burial ground,
and perhaps with the van der Put ice cream store. But just around the corner there is also a
settlement from the 1920s with a medieval-looking street layout. Between
Vorgebirgsstraße and Höninger Weg lies the cooperative housing estate Köln Zollstock, a housing estate designed
planned by Theodor Merrill, Wilhelm Riphahn, Caspar Maria Grod and Emil Mewes in the style of
in the New Building style. The tour begins at the school at
Rosenzweigpark, which is part of the Riphahn estate, and ends at the legendary
construction trailer estate.
