ZOMBIE SESSIONS is a concert series by musicians for musicians on a non-profit and DIY basis and has been pursuing the goal of creating fair performance opportunities and spaces for known and unknown music outside the mainstream since 2013. Across genres, the focus of the ZOMBIE SESSIONS is on the heavier varieties of rock (punk, hardcore, metal, noise, grunge, stoner etc., or any sound that cannot be properly categorized as a genre), but jazz, pop and hip-hop, for example, have also been represented.

ZOMBIE SESSIONS is not only a matter close to the hearts of the people behind it, but also an attempt to make a contribution to Munich's musical subculture and to network it with artists from all over Europe, both internally and externally.

That's why the ZOMBIE SESSIONS are the perfect opportunity for music lovers to experience bands from Munich, Germany and abroad up close. The ZOMBIE SESSIONS invite you to immerse yourself in the relaxed, informal atmosphere and simply let yourself go at energetic, sweaty and sometimes overflowing concerts. With a low admission price, the ZOMBIE SESSIONS, which take place at the Glockenbachwerkstatt, Kafe Kult or Sunny Red/Feierwerk, are also accessible to a wide audience.

GALACTIC LEPUS

GALACTIC LEPUS is a four-piece stoner/psychedelic rock band from Munich. Since 2023, Kerstin (voc), Andi (b), Kathi (dr) and Colin (git) have been writing their EP "Space Rabbit", whose lyrics primarily deal with the life and adventures of rabbits. Look forward to a journey into a fluffy universe with at least one barefoot hike, a mountain rabbit sighting, a tangible argument, an attack by a wolfhound and a leap into space, before the mighty "Electric Desert Space Mountain Wizard" satirizes many a male ego in the music scene. STONEBOURNE

Raw and unpolished, STONEBOURNE 's guitars roar in the tradition of the old heroes. A bit of drop D, a bit of teenage angst, world-weariness and lots of anthemic, energetic rock. This is sometimes reminiscent of the sound somewhere between "Pearl Jam" or "Alice in Chains", but without being just epigonal post-whatever. Emotional lyrics, dynamic songs full of blood, sweat and tears take grunge out of the 90s and carry it on to infinity and beyond! Shortly after the release of the first EP, there was already airplay on Bayern 3 and the songs ended up in rotation on numerous radios in the USA and UK, followed in times of Corona by the long-awaited full-length album "Squirrels On A Plane" with fifteen brand new grunge rockers for new and old fans, which was also received by the press as the best proof that grunge is not dead! TO THE MAX

TO THE MAX was founded in the middle of the pandemic with a clear vision: to do what they love without setting boundaries. Their music combines two completely different genres: action rock with punk influences and stoner/doom. The band consists of Alessandro (lead vocals and drums), Nicola (guitar and lead vocals) and Mattia (bass and backing vocals). Despite their young age, they have already played around a hundred concerts in Italy and Europe. They released their first album"Midnight Tea" a year ago and have recently finished recording their second album, which is expected to be released in 2025. (Source: Organizer)
