Inspired by Playfight, Kollektiv ZOO is opening an inclusive wrestling laboratory together with rowdy players, dedicated to the search for new forms of dialog. Movement practices such as fighting, romping and tussling bring the group into an experimental and body-based communication far removed from spoken language. As a utopian space in which things, discourses and issues are negotiated on a physical level, a temporary Rangel arena is created that opens up to the audience during the performances as a place of learning and a blueprint for social dialog, compromise and disagreement.
The playfight in the Rangel Arena is entered by the players, who work on the format together with Kollektiv ZOO for two weeks, as fictitious, self-designed characters from the game "ZOO JUTSU - Lab Köln".
The format playfully confronts the players and audience with physical limits and brings the wrestlers into a physical dialog in which physical conditions and self-devised rules are mixed in a variety of ways. What moves the physical dialog? What knowledge is questioned? Which practiced thought patterns and which opinions are put at risk?
