Zoos der Nachbarstädte: Tagesexkursion in den Krefelder Zoo

Krefeld Zoo is a little-known jewel in the zoo world of NRW. Europe's first cheetah cubs were raised here and the breeding of black rhinos has been a regular success for many years - a baby black rhino was born at the beginning of April. Further highlights: African savannah, walk-in penguin enclosure, South America house, butterfly house, giant tortoises, jaguar, serval and a jaguarundi. There are also beautiful old trees and attractive perennial plantings.

The lecturer worked as a gardener at Cologne Zoo for many years and regularly offers guided tours there. In Krefeld, the focus will be on the enclosures and animal species that Cologne does not have or presents differently.

Travel by Deutsche Bahn to Krefeld-Oppum and from there walk to the zoo in 40 minutes.

Meeting point: Trankgasse 11, 50667 Cologne in front of the "Eterna" store at the main station (entrance on the cathedral side, former flower store)

Fee 20 euros plus zoo entrance fee of 16 euros and travel costs if applicable.
