The artist Nadja Kurz prefers to develop videos that are often embedded in larger spatial installations. Her works stage the absurd mechanisms and effects of neoliberal capitalism in an artificially exaggerated reality. In doing so, they reflect current socio-political debates and take up current socio-political discourses in order to transform them into cross-media works that oscillate between dystopia and ironic exaggeration.

For the exhibition "zur genussdrüse", Nadja Kurz plans to pursue this artistic approach further. Using a selection of different media, she wants to explore the sensitive relationship between pleasure produced on an assembly line and universal needs. Her approach is based on facts and knowledge in order to make the complexity of this field of tension tangible for the viewer.
