HOMECOMING: GIANT ROOKS PLAY EXCLUSIVELY IN THEIR HOMETOWN OF HAMM IN 2025

There's no place like home! Giant Rooks think so too and are returning to their hometown for their "Homecoming" on September 05 + 06. The indie rock quintet will be playing exclusively in Germany next year at Kurpark Hamm.

The five are unstoppable! Sold-out concerts in Rome, Paris and Manchester, shows from Mexico City to New York, international festivals in Leeds, Reading, Chicago and millions of streams: Their success is no longer limited to Germany. This makes it all the more important for Fred, Jonathan, Luca and the two Finns to return to their roots and play in Hamm and give something back to the city where it all began. Lord Mayor Marc Herter is also looking forward to the band's homecoming: "The Giant Rooks started their career here and have now become representatives of Hamm worldwide. The fact that they will be performing in the Kurhausgarten for the 50th birthday of the city of Hamm is a special event highlight."

Following the release of their album "How Have You Been?" in February of this year, the subsequent number one in the German charts and the successful tour of the same name, Giant Rooks released their single "Mind Control" on November 1st. The new track manages an interesting balancing act: the lyrics tell of fever dreams and loss of control and at the same time the song is surprisingly upbeat musically. Almost like a danceable therapy session, you move to catchy piano chords while the lyrical self processes crises.

The coming late summer will be a home game for Giant Rooks and between melancholy and euphoria, the audience dances and lets itself be carried away by the incredible energy of this band.
