The exhibition ZWISCHEN - WELTEN brings the artists of the Kunstübungsraum (KÜR) to the Farbenladen at Hansastrasse 31. The 22 participating artists of the KÜR approach the topic of identity from different perspectives, question social norms, experiment with perception and make phenomena tangible. With a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines and media - from painting, video and sound installations to sculptures and collaborative practice - they explore the ambivalences of existence between different realities and possibilities.
The works on display also reflect collective experiences from personal perspectives, negotiate ruptures and transitions and explore the possibilities that open up between established orders and perspectives. This creates new spaces for thinking and feeling - revealing, questioning, exploring.
The title ZWISCHEN - WELTEN not only refers to the thematic exploration of transitions, parallelisms and hybrid states, but also to the shared creative and meeting space of the participating artists. The Kunstübungsraum (KÜR) is a place of experimentation, exchange and artistic practice - an intermediate world that is both a meeting place and a laboratory.
ART PRACTICE ROOM (KÜR)
The Kunstübungsraum, or KÜR for short, is an experimental space for young art and an open cultural venue for everyone. Housed in a listed building on Alten-St.-Georgs-Platz in Milbertshofen, the project responds to the glaring lack of suitable spaces for young creatives, artists and cultural workers between the ages of 18 and 27.
KÜR is non-commercial and provides temporary work and practice spaces for visual arts, media art and urban culture free of charge and offers artistic and socio-educational support for studio users.
In addition to providing studios for young adults, KÜR is an important place for encounters and creativity that promotes openness and diversity. With workshops, exhibitions, events and open studio days, KÜR invites cultural participation and thus addresses all citizens of different age groups, especially from the neighborhood.
