The E-Werk cultural center
Since 1982, the E-Werk cultural center in Erlangen has been an important regional and supra-regional trendsetter in the cultural scene and is one of the largest socio-cultural centers in Germany with a total capacity of around 2,300 visitors, four event rooms, a cinema and its own restaurant with beer garden and open-air stage. Founded in 1982 from the youth club Sesam and the jazz club Pupille, it has had an eventful history on the premises of the former power station in Erlangen.

Experience and participate
Every year, around 250,000 guests experience a varied cultural program at the E-Werk, from live concerts and party events to readings, theater performances and conferences. However, the E-Werk is not only a venue for events, but also offers space and impulses to become active yourself, to contribute your own potential or to learn something new: there is a wide range of initiatives, self-help workshops, advisory services, cultural support for young people and various projects for all age groups and target groups. The E-Werk operates a ticket sales office, a rehearsal room center and the city's cultural billposting service.
