f² FOTOFESTIVAL #GLOBALITÄT

One theme, various exhibitions and a lot of program! For the fourth time in 2023, the f² Fotofestival will offer a platform for exchange between a wide variety of actors. Established photographers, up-and-coming young talents, educational institutions, museums and cultural venues - they all share a passion for photography and an interest in this year's festival theme of globalism.

What happens in the immediate and local environment can no longer be considered in isolation from the rest of the world. The idea of globality creates the image of a worldwide community in which each individual is integrated through a multitude of networks. As a visual medium, photography is instrumental in the visual negotiation and construction of globality.

Current challenges - such as climate change, pandemic impact, and extreme economic inequality - highlight the need for diversity-sensitive exchange for the global future.

Questioning, encouraging, networking: within the framework of the f² photo festival, the artists and photographers approach the topic of globalism in their own individual ways and open up unusual (exhibition) locations and perspectives with their contributions.

For eleven days, the festival with its exhibitions, discussions and parties invites you to discover these places and photographic perspectives and to get into conversation with each other!
