Around the globe in one day

Here at the Gardens of the World, you can travel the world in just one day: Admire exotic flowers and plants from the cable car or up close, discover foreign cultures, enjoy music in the open air, let off steam on our playgrounds or simply relax and unwind - the Gardens of the World are as diverse as our visitors.

The best place to start your trip around the globe is at Kienberg in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. There you can take the cable car directly from the U5 station "Kienberg - Gärten der Welt" to the main entrance of the Gärten der Welt on Blumberger Damm with a magnificent view over the whole of Berlin.

A journey of discovery for young and old

This is where your journey through eleven themed gardens and nine international garden cabinets begins, where you can explore oceans of flowers and plants from all over the world. Discover the green diversity of Europe, marvel at the nature of Bali, Japan, China or Korea and immerse yourself in religious traditions in the Christian, Oriental-Islamic or Jewish gardens. Be inspired by breathtaking architecture or millennia-old rituals such as Aboriginal "fire stick farming" in the garden cabinets. The themed gardens are further enriched by the water gardens of the Aquatica promenade, the rose garden and the rhododendron grove.

In addition to the maze, several playgrounds await younger visitors in the Gardens of the World. A particular highlight is the water playground "Konrad rides into the South Seas", based on Erich Kästner's famous children's novel "The 35th of May". An enormous climbing wall, a water forest, a giant hammock, a trampoline and South Sea huts offer unique fun in the playground. Children can explore the Gardens of the World in a playful way on rallies.

New attractions thanks to the IGA Berlin 2017

The Gardens of the World were extensively expanded with the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) 2017. Even after the end of the IGA Berlin 2017, you can discover horticultural and architectural highlights, explore art in the park and experience concert highlights in the arena.

Wir sind das ganze Jahr für dich da und öffnen täglich ab 9.00 Uhr unsere Pforten. Mit Einbruch der Dunkelheit wird der Park wieder geschlossen.

Unsere personell besetzten Kassen sowie unsere automatisierten Eingänge sind von November bis Februar bis 16 Uhr geöffnet, im März und Oktober bis 18 Uhr und von April bis September bis 20 Uhr (Achtung: Der Eingang Nord ist nur bis 19 Uhr personell besetzt). An allen Eingängen gibt es Ticketautomaten und Scanner für Online-Tickets.
