Kino Babylon im Kulturzentrum Pelmke

Since opening in 1996, a dedicated group of volunteers has been responsible for the program and evening screenings at the Babylon Hagen cinema. The regular program includes documentaries, current German and European arthouse cinema, debut works by young filmmakers, US indie films, but also the occasional blockbuster. With monthly changing screenings, films in the original with subtitles and special film series such as "Churches & Cinema", "Film & Theater" and "Transparent Cinema", Kino Babylon offers an experience away from the mainstream. There is room for up to 64 viewers in a cozy atmosphere.

The cinema café opens 30 minutes before the start of the first screening and invites you to linger after the movie.

The highlight in summer is the annual fresh air cinema in the backyard of the Pelmke Cultural Center in July & August.
