Cologne Youth Park is located on a peninsula in the middle of the Rhine.

The Cologne Youth Park was founded in 1957 by the city of Cologne as part of the Federal Garden Show. Since October 1, 2000, the Kölner Jugendpark has been part of the Jugendzentren Köln gGmbH (JugZ).

The Cologne Youth Park combines a youth and community center with open leisure and group activities as well as various events for children, young people and adults in its building.

The entire peninsula between the Zoobrücke bridge and the so-called "Katzenbuckel", the bridge that spans the Mülheim harbor basin from the Jugendpark peninsula, is the "Jugendpark".
