The Kulturforum Fürth is idyllically located near Fürth's old town on the banks of the Rednitz river. In 2004, the establishment of the Fürth Cultural Foundation made it possible to renovate and expand the former Fürth slaughterhouse into a versatile cultural center. With its two different venues, the Great Hall and the Small Hall, a spacious, light-flooded foyer and a playable forecourt, the Kulturforum offers a wide range of event options.

The architecturally successful combination of history and modernity is also reflected in the program of the house: traditional and contemporary, established and experimental, regional and international can be found in the wide-ranging program. The programme, which is supported by the City of Fürth's Department of Culture, focuses on special concert experiences from jazz to classical and pop, children's theater guest performances and in-house productions as well as interdisciplinary theater and art projects, which are repeatedly realized as in-house and co-productions. The Kulturforum is also a permanent venue for the city's major cultural festivals: JMT - Jewish Music Today - Europe's largest international klezmer festival, the International Puppet Theater Festival and the Fürth Literature Festival LESEN!

Since 2004, the Kulturforum has also been the venue for the Fürth Municipal Theatre, which repeatedly uses the unusual columned architecture of the Great Hall as a stage for unusual and modern formats, including drama and dance theater. In particular, the KULT ensemble for children's and youth theater regularly finds "its" stage here, as do community theater projects from the "Brückenbau" community project and the theater's youth clubs.
