The completely modernized Kulturpalast on Altmarkt opened its doors on 28 April 2017. Since then, the state capital has been home to a new cultural center that inspires people and reflects Dresden's international standing. A house of arts and knowledge, a meeting place, a space for communication: Dresden's new Kulturpalast points to the future.

The newly built concert hall forms the heart of the building and is home to the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. With outstanding acoustics and striking architecture, it forms the musical center of Dresden and is the "first address" for local orchestras and guest stars.

The new municipal central library surrounds this center. It combines knowledge, education and experience in a modern library landscape and shapes the new, open character of the Kulturpalast.

The new Kulturpalast is also home to another attraction, the cabaret "Die Herkuleskeule ", which is known throughout Germany and provides a cheerful contrast.

The spacious foyers connect all the facilities and rooms and invite visitors to stroll and linger. Ticket sales are located here. On the first floor and second floor, the Solo bistro and café and the Café Tutti with fresh, young cuisine made from local produce round off the Kulturpalast's offerings. During your concert visit, Café Tutti also provides snacks and drinks at the interval bars.

Die Veranstaltungskasse öffnet in der Regel 60 Minuten vor Konzertbeginn. Ab dann können Sie Ihre Garderobe abgeben.
