The former shipyard halls in Lübeck, once used for shipbuilding, are now an important cultural venue. Events such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the ARD election arena and concerts by renowned artists such as Wincent Weiss and Foreigner have already taken place in this historic setting, just 200 meters from the old town. The red brick halls, which were built between 1870 and 1920, are part of Schleswig-Holstein's oldest industrial area and have been revitalized after around 20 years of vacancy.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

How do I get there?
If possible, come by public transport or by bike. If you are arriving by car from outside the city, it is best to take the A1 exit 22-Lübeck-Zentrum/Fähre Nordlandkai/Stockelsdorf.

Are there parking spaces?
There are parking lots around our premises. There are usually parking lot attendants on site who will direct you to the nearest available parking lot.

When does admission start?
Admission is usually 60 minutes before the start of the event (Werft Open-Air 120 minutes). You can always find the exact time on the respective event page.

Can I leave the concert grounds after admission?
The ticket grants you one-time admission, so if you leave the grounds, you cannot return. So if possible, please think about everything before you enter the venue. You can use our beautiful inner courtyard if you want to get some fresh air.

What about the protection of minors?
Young people aged 16 and over may attend concerts at the Kulturwerft without adult supervision until midnight (excluding parties). Under 16s are only permitted to attend concerts if accompanied by a person with parental authority (parent, guardian) or a legal guardian of legal age (trusted person, friend, etc.) who can provide proof of parental authority (JuSchG §1, Para. 1 No. 4). Please remember to wear hearing protection for your children!

Is the Kulturwerft barrier-free?
The Kulturwerft is barrier-free. Please buy a wheelchair ticket in advance. Severely disabled people with the "B" mark on their disabled pass can take one accompanying person with them free of charge. Please buy tickets in advance by telephone (Tel.: 0451-930 99 30). Is there a wheelchair platform for standing concerts?
A wheelchair platform is only available for our Werft Open-Air. Please note that space is limited. Therefore, everything is first come - first serve.

What does open-air mean?
Open-air means that the event will definitely take place outside. Pack a rain jacket in case of rain, umbrellas are not allowed.

Which bags can I bring?
The following applies to all events at the Kulturwerft: Only bags up to DIN A4 size are permitted. This means that bags, rucksacks, cloth/gym bags and plastic bags of A4 size (21.0 x 29.7 cm) are permitted.

Can I bring a chair to a standing concert?
No, please do not bring any chairs, stools etc. with you. This is not permitted and is for your own safety. Walking aids are generally permitted.

Is there a Box Office?
If tickets are still available for an event, they can be purchased at the Box Office. You can see the availability on our homepage

Is food & drink available?
At every indoor event there is a selection of drinks and sometimes a snack.
At our Werft Open-Air you will find a wide range of regional products.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Food and drinks may not be taken onto the grounds or into the halls.
Exceptions apply to visitors who need to take certain food and/or drinks with them due to illness. In this case, we require a doctor's certificate or appropriate identification. Catering for babies is also exempt from the ban.

Can I pay by card?
You can always pay by card at our bars, unless there are unforeseen technical problems.

What am I not allowed to bring?
Backpacks and bags larger than DIN A4, professional film and photo cameras, stools, chairs, baby carriages & other bulky items, umbrellas,
