"Hello, glad you're here," with these friendly words we were greeted at Susanne Lindner's concept store on Kleppingstraße. And besides the warm words, there was something else that struck us directly. The pleasant smell of freshly brewed mint tea, like from a Moroccan tea salon. But there was no tea, it was a candle from Paris, which smelled so incredibly good. A souvenir from Susanne from one of her numerous trips to Paris.

But of course it is not the candles,from Mad et Len that make up the core business of Standby Lindner, but the clothes. The incredibly great, high-quality and wonderful clothes. Let's start at the bottom. There you can expect cool, sporty clothes - finely selected and something that you can not get a second time in Dortmund.

We walk up the stairs with Susanne, who opened her first store in Dortmund 35 years ago and initially sold hand-knitted items together with a partner, and are amazed. Because we discover something special in every corner. Brands like: ACNE STUDIOS, LaLaBerlin, Nili Lotan, Golden Goose Deluxe Brand - all unique to Dortmund. We fall in love with the kimonos from a designer friend from Amsterdam and the beautiful cashmere scarves and hats. We immediately want the sneakers from Italy and are delighted with the lingerie from the Love Stories brand.

Susanne tells us a little story about each piece of clothing and emphasizes how important it is to her to know where her products come from. That the production conditions are important to her and that's why she often travels to the countries to see for herself and to bring new inspiration back to Dortmund. And that is precisely why Susanne has now also been trusted by Dortmund for 35 years. "We have a close relationship with our regular customers and we are very happy about that," Susanne smiles and is still quite touched by the positive encouragement and gratitude of her customers on her 35th anniversary recently.
