The MaximiliansForum is an urban art space for current, experimental and interdisciplinary projects in the visual and applied arts. The presentations are freely accessible 24/7 in the two large art display windows in the Maximiliansstraße/Altstadtring public underpass. The exhibitions are accompanied by performances and actions, art talks and workshops, which are also open and freely accessible.

With the Ö_Projekte, in which the MaximiliansForum works together with the "Färberei/Kösk", the program of the urban art space has been expanded to include an artistic, educational and participatory range of workshops and events. These accompany the exhibitions and represent an open invitation to work with artistic methods yourself, while at the same time creating space for new encounters.

This unique art space, centrally located beneath Munich's prominent Maximilianstrasse, has a multi-layered past dating back to the 1970s. In all its various forms, the MaximiliansForum represents an open, versatile, networked and surprising side of Munich's culture. Exhibition venue:

In 2000, the approx. 1600m² underpass at the intersection of Altstadtring and was converted into a variable exhibition space with two large exhibition windows. The location on a traditional Munich cultural mile, in the midst of galleries, theaters, museums and in Munich's most elegant shopping district, is centrally located and at the same time offers unusual insights into the city's free art and culture scene.
