The Stadtbibliothek im Motorama is one of the interim locations of the Stadtbibliothek Am Gasteig and has been located in the Motorama store district opposite the Gasteig since November 2021. The library focuses on family, gaming and digital learning. Covering an area of around 3,600 square meters, it offers a wide range of books for children, teenagers, young adults and senior citizens as well as fiction, non-fiction and current newspapers and magazines. Motorama works with an intuitive arrangement of the media collections. Entertainment, suspense, fantastic worlds, learning/knowledge, life and creative offer a new approach to the media as themed worlds. Spread across the first floor and second floor, there are also areas for events and hands-on activities, workstations and PCs. A special highlight will be the GameLab, where newcomers and old hands can compete on games consoles and experience robotics and virtual reality. As in the Gasteig, the Europa Information Center Munich will be present and available for personal consultations on all aspects of the European Union.
