Making the living conditions of earlier times understandable - that is the aim of the Museum am Thie. The folklore museum achieves this through realistic stagings of a village kitchen or a Biedermeier room. In addition to living conditions, the methods of obtaining, preparing and preserving food, harvesting and beekeeping are an important aspect of the permanent exhibition. An authentic corner store, with its inexhaustible wealth of products, points to the fact that although everything was needed in a village, there was no market for specialist stores.
