The Museum Lüneburg is deeply rooted in the region and is also its historical memory. In attractive rooms, we present our guests with unique, sometimes rare and high-quality objects from the cultural and natural landscape of the city and region of Lüneburg. In our interdisciplinary exhibitions, we show the reciprocal relationship between people, culture and nature in the Lüneburg area and how it has changed.

Varied exhibitions and educational concepts provide our guests with exciting insights into the cultural and natural history of the region, from prehistoric times to the 21st century. We offer our guests fascinating stories that make them think, provide them with knowledge and create opportunities for identification.

The Museum Lüneburg sees itself as a place that connects. It is itself a place of social life in the city, where people also come together beyond our exhibitions and events. We actively seek dialog, both with our guests and the public, and offer opportunities to participate in our work.

We also develop our work through new impulses from our own and external research. We are open to cooperation and exchange with our guests. A transparent approach to information about our work, changes and innovations is important to us.
