How has the landscape in the region changed from the Jurassic period to the appearance of humans and what does it look like today? What rocks, minerals and soils are typical of Eastern Bavaria? You can discover these and many other exciting questions at the Natural History Museum in the Herzogspalais. There you can learn all about Regensburg's special geological features and even observe a live bee colony. There is also a wooden library dating back to 1795 and a reconstructed natural history cabinet, reminiscent of the natural sciences of the 18th and 19th centuries.
