The association

The Kultur- und Werkhof Nauwieser 19 e. V. is an association of currently 11 craft businesses, stores and social, cultural and therapeutic institutions. The buildings are owned by the Nauwieser Neunzehn association. The association is involved in adult education and district development, among other things. As members of the association, the tenants are also their own landlords. All decisions are made jointly at the weekly plenary meetings.

Kultur- und Werkhof Nauwieser 19 e. V. is currently an association of 11 craft businesses, stores and social, cultural and therapeutic institutions. The buildings are owned by the Nauwieser Neunzehn association. The association is involved in adult education and district development, among other things. In 1988, the association bought the building in Nauwieserstrasse, which was built in 1906. The idea of founding a Kultur- und Werkhof came from Netzwerk Saar e.V.. In the years that followed, the building was renovated and converted. The official inauguration took place in the summer of 1990. To this day, the Kultur- und Werkhof is a dynamic place that is constantly evolving.

In the beginning, the Kultur- und Werkhof published a brochure and a newspaper.
