DIE NEUE BÜHNE

... was founded in 1989 as a professional independent theater.

Unlike subsidy-dependent municipal, state or regional theaters, we finance ourselves mainly through admission fees and supporting memberships. With the artistic guideline "Theater for the Senses", we have made a name for ourselves and established ourselves in the cultural landscape of the region.

The "NEW" of the BÜHNE

... is the dissolution of the classic peep-box stage.

In close-up performance and experience spaces, theater becomes a stimulating and exciting escape from everyday life and a direct experience for all the senses. Upon entering the theater, the audience is immersed in past times, distant places and other worlds. The concept includes catering to match the respective play. This is another way in which the Neue Bühne ties in with Shakespeare's theatrical tradition.
