The "neue theater" is the city of Halle's theater. It has formed the core and heart of the Kulturinsel since 1980.

In the two venues Saal and Kammer, the neue theater offers a diverse program ranging from classical spoken theater and comedies to contemporary productions of contemporary drama. The neue theater has been part of Theater, Oper und Orchester GmbH since 2009.

In the summer months, the courtyard of the "nt" invites you to the popular summer theater and in the run-up to Christmas, young and old alike can enjoy the traditional Christmas story. The hall and shipyard are also popular venues for readings and concerts.

The catering facilities "Strieses Biertunnel" and the "Café nt" invite you to linger.
