Oper Frankfurt is one of the most important opera houses in Europe. In 2024, it was named "Opera House of the Year" for its artistic achievements for the eighth time by the trade magazine Opernwelt. Oper Frankfurt's program includes around 11 premieres and 15 revivals per season as well as numerous recitals, chamber and symphony concerts, children's operas and special formats. The Frankfurt Opera ensemble currently consists of 41 international singers. The Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra is one of the most traditional German orchestras and is regularly conducted by internationally renowned conductors and General Music Director Sebastian Weigle. The Frankfurt Opera Chorus, one of the largest opera choirs in Germany, is recognized by opera audiences and critics alike for its outstanding performances. For its outstanding performance, the choir was voted "Choir of the Year" by Opernwelt in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
