ART

The Modern Art Collection of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen in the Pinakothek der Moderne takes up exactly where that of the Neue Pinakothek ends, namely with art after about 1900.

GRAPHICS

Alongside the copperplate engraving cabinets in Berlin and Dresden, the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München (SGSM) is the most important museum for drawings and prints in Germany and is one of the largest institutions of its kind in the world.

ARCHITECTURE

The Museum of Architecture was established in 1868 as a teaching collection for architectural education at the New Polytechnic School, the predecessor of today's Technical University of Munich.

DESIGN

With more than 100,000 objects from the fields of industrial design, graphic design, computer culture, mobility and arts and crafts, the Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum is one of the largest and most important museums of 20th and 21st century applied art in the world.
