Cultural Office Bremen

The Kulturbüro Bremen is an open association of various people working in the arts and culture, in the socio-cultural and political field on a voluntary basis, as self-employed and full-time professionals. The aim of the Kulturbüro Bremen is to bundle the different competences, interests and concerns and to initiate and carry out projects together or, if necessary, to make them available to other organizations or institutions. The spectrum of skills ranges from artistic and art education work, graphics and design to project and concept development and all areas of implementation, including project management, PR, bookkeeping and accounting.

In recent years, the network around the Kulturbüro Bremen has carried out various projects in and outside of Bremen with and for various organizations and has also initiated some of them itself. Partners have included the Schlachthof Cultural Center, the Spedition Cultural Center, the Weserburg Museum, the Peter Weiss House in Rostock and the RecyclArt Cultural Center in Brussels.

raum404 is an exhibition and event venue in Bremen initiated and supported by Kulturnetz e.V. From May 2014 to December 2015, the exhibition space located in Bremen's Neustadt district hosted around 14 exhibitions as well as a series of concerts and film evenings. The main focus was on young, international artists beyond the art mainstream from Mexico to Finland. One focus was on graphic art and comics. From September 2017, raum404 has found a new location at Nicolaistrasse 34/36 in the Bahnhofsvorstadt district of Bremen. The program, which was significantly influenced by curator Gregor Straube, will be continued there.
