Rock Cyclus Bremerhaven e.V.

Amateur musicians from Bremerhaven came together in 1977 to reduce competition between bands and create optimal working conditions for the musicians.

In fact, the Rock-Cyclus has achieved a great deal in its 40-year history. Numerous concerts, festivals, workshops and seminars have been organized.

Two records, a "Best of" CD with 16 groups from the past and present, as well as two CDs with local and regional bands have been produced.
A PA and lighting system was purchased and is constantly being modernized.

The club has its own stage and a van.
The club has had its own recording studio since 2008 and several bands have already recorded their latest demo CD there.

The first big success was the rental of the "DEBEG" hall at the old harbor in 1981 by the board around Jörn Hoffmann. Rehearsal rooms for 11 music groups were created here. Today, the building at Am Fleeth 1 with its 20 practice rooms, recording studio and club office is the heart of the club and communication center for musicians under new management.

The rock festivals in the Speckenbüttel open-air swimming pool and the Deichbühnen concerts made the Rock Cyclus famous beyond the region. With Open Ear, Heat, Christmas Special and the open-air festival Rock am Hafen, the association revitalized the music scene. Today, two club festivals and Rock Am Fleeth provide a platform for local, regional and national bands.
