The heavy rider is a play and networking place for dance, theater, music - and everything in between. In the middle of the creative quarter, we offer interdisciplinary space as well as personnel support and technology for the implementation of projects of the independent scene. The independently operating partner institutions Tanztendenz München e.V., Musikplattform scope and Pathos München e.V. have their artistic home under our roof. International actors can experiment and present their work in residencies under professional conditions and with the greatest possible freedom.

All three partners are united by the desire to initiate cross-genre contacts between artists and to actively enter into collaborations, whether for individual productions, joint events, or the joint residencies initiated in 2020, which will be expanded nationally and internationally from 2021.

For festivals such as SPIELART, DANCE, Munich Biennale, RODEO, TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA, aDevantgarde-Festival or Rampenlichter , the schwer reiter is a set venue.
