Semperoper Dresden

The Semperoper in the historic city center of Dresden is the venue of the Saxon State Opera. The opera includes the Sächsische Staatskapelle, the Semperoper Ballett, the Junge Szene and the Sächsische Staatsopernchor Dresden. Each season, around 300 productions can be experienced at the opera, which are created by the almost 400 passionate artistic staff. In 2024, Nora Schmid will open a new chapter at the Semperoper Dresden as the new artistic director.
