In 1985, the time had come: an extensive renovation of the granary began in preparation for its use as a town museum. During the construction period, archaeological excavations and building history studies were carried out. Much of what we know about the house today is based on the research carried out back then.
The result was a reconstruction that makes it clear at first glance which parts of the house are historical and which are new additions. We deliberately avoided using fixtures that only look old but are in fact new.
Since 1991, the Kornhaus has been a place where history comes to life. Here you can go on a discovery tour and find out lots of exciting things.
