Under this motto, the Swamp has always been more than just a pub. It has been home to many people who like independent music or love soccer in a more alternative way. Carmelo "Chico" Policicchio opened it in 1993 and since then we have seen many bands and SC games here.

Chico died in October 2021 at the age of 61, but the Swamp lives on in his spirit: you'll find the program, opening times and a few stories from the archive here. You will also find information about the Sumpfkultur e.V. association, which is committed to the memory of Chico, the preservation of the Swamp as a meeting place and his cultural idea.
