Theater Bonn sees itself as a "theater for all" and is committed to enabling all citizens of Bonn to participate in culture, regardless of their social background, previous experience or personal limitations.

Under the directorship of Dr. Bernhard Helmich, a model of mediation has developed that preserves the freedom of art and includes mediation in all essential processes of the theater in order to become a central place for the entire urban society in the long term.

Theater Bonn strives to reflect the diversity of the city's society in the areas of programming, staff and audience and is actively committed to reaching out to all people and offering them the opportunity to get to know and participate in what the theater has to offer.

It also cooperates with various social institutions in Bonn in order to provide access to cultural events for target groups with special needs. Long-standing cooperation partners include, for example, the VHS and the City of Bonn's Office for Social Affairs and Housing.
