Our independent bookshop transfer. bücher und medien. has been located in Dortmund since 2011. In the middle of the old town of Hörder and right opposite the "Schlanken Mathilde", we help young readers, adult avid readers and people interested in literature of all kinds to choose their next read. We do this not only in person, as a local bookshop, but also virtually, with our website and our own online store. In 2012/13 we were named Bookshop of the Year and in 2015 we were awarded the German Bookshop Prize.

Whether exciting author readings and expert discussions or literature circles for young and old - our lively events whet the appetite for literature even more and take place regularly in our bookshop.

Want to browse in a quiet atmosphere? Our popular "buch nach acht" format makes this possible: on the first Friday of every month, registered guests can browse, read and buy books after closing time. Undisturbed - from 20:00 to 24:00. There's a small snack and drinks to keep you going.
