Wild animals within reach

Since 1953, visitors young and old can visit the zoo in Dortmund. Be sure to take enough time, because there is a lot to see and learn here: the zoo is divided geographically, you can visit the continents of Africa, Asia, Australia and South America, which are divided into more than 200 species. You can see wild and endangered animals up close, get extra information about giraffes, birds, orang-utans and rhinos in the "consultation hour", watch the sloths, sea lions, penguins and predators being fed, or sit with a coffee on the bench at the large playground. Or just take a stroll through this beautiful park, because with its old trees, the zoo also has a lot to offer here. The zoo is always worth a trip, because there is something for everyone here and therefore ideally suited for the whole family. We think top!

Right next door is the Rombergpark. There you can go for a wonderful walk, sit relaxed by the lake and sunbathe, go to the plant houses, archery...
