Art Ponedilok. Arriving in Berlin

EN: Join us for a special screening of "Art Ponedilok. Arriving in Berlin" film at PANDA platforma, followed by an open discussion with the participants and creators of the project.

Art Ponedilok. Arriving in Berlin was created as part of the Art Ponedilok (Art Monday in Ukrainian) creative lab, initiated by Berlin-based artists Maria and Natalia Petschatnikov in collaboration with the Berlin Wall Foundation in 2022. This creative documentary depicts an art class where Ukrainian women and Berlin volunteers come together to share stories of arrival, adaptation and connection through drawing, painting and animation.

The focus of this discussion will be on the creative process behind this 18-minute-long animation, as well as the broader social context in which it was developed. The conversation will highlight personal experiences, collaborative dynamics and artistic choices that shaped the final work. A discussion about art as a powerful healing strategy to deal with trauma and adaptation, based on the art class, will also be part of the event.

The audience is warmly invited to participate in the discussion, ask questions, and share their own reflections.

An accompanying exhibition will also be on display, offering further insight into the project and its themes.

A total of 16 people contributed to the animation (each creating their own scene), and around 25 people participated in the collective scenes.

The film premiered on May 8 at the Parliament of Trees Against War and Violence in Berlin’s government district. The project was supported by Kulturprojekte Berlin and the Berlin Wall Foundation.

Показ експериментального анімаційного фільму та обговорення, що супроводжуються виставкою.

Запрошуємо вас на спеціальний показ анімаційного фільму Art Ponedilok. Прибуття до Берліна в просторі Panda Platforma, після якого відбудеться відкрита дискусія з учасниками та творцями проєкту.

Фільм створено в межах творчої лабораторії Art Ponedilok, заснованої художницями Марією та Наталею Печатніковими у співпраці з Фондом Берлінської стіни. У центрі сюжету — художній клас, що об’єднав українок та волонтерів із Берліна, де учасники ділилися особистими історіями через мистецтво.

Під час обговорення буде розглянуто творчий процес створення 18-хвилинної анімації, а також соціальний контекст, у якому розвивався проєкт. Особлива увага буде приділена особистому досвіду, колективній роботі та художнім рішенням. Також йтиметься про мистецтво як потужну стратегію зцілення й адаптації після травматичного досвіду.

Глядачів запрошуємо долучитися до обговорення, ставити запитання та ділитися власними роздумами. Крім того, буде представлена супровідна виставка, яка поглиблює розуміння проєкту та його тем.
