Verwurzelt in der Hardcore-Szene, in Prog-Kreisen bekannt durch Expeditionen in Space-Rock-Gefilde und gefeiert für stadionreife Hooklines – kaum eine Band verkörpert den weiten Bogen des Hellseatic-Sounds so exemplarisch wie die amerikanische Post-Hardcore Formation Cave-In.
 
Die Band erwuchs in den 90er Jahren aus der engen Freundschaft von Stephen Brodsky an Leadgitarre und Gesang, Adam McGrath an Rhythmusgitarre (und später auch Gesang), Caleb Scofield an Bass und Gesang sowie John-Robert Conners am Schlagzeug. Nach der weltweiten Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „Until Your Heart Stops“ wuchs ihre Fangemeinde weltweit. Als sie im Jahr 2000 die konzeptionelle Weltraum-Odyssee „Jupiter“ vorstellten, katapultierte sie das Album auf noch größere Bühnen und erlangte breite Anerkennung bei den Kritikern und eine Schar treuer Fans.
 
Seitdem hat Cave In viele Höhen und Tiefen überstanden, nicht zuletzt den Tod von Caleb Scofield im Jahr 2018. Die 1995 geschaffenen Grundlagen haben die Band zusammengehalten und glücklicherweise haben sie es geschafft, sich weiterzuentwickeln und Vorurteile zu überwinden. Mit Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders, Old Man Gloom) an Bass und Gesang werden Cave In am 6. September im Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus in einer exklusiven Norddeutschland-Show"Jupiter" am Stück live performen, um die Vorfreude für die nächste Hellseatic-Ausgabe 2026 anzuheizen…

Das französische instrumental Trio TORU biegt sich seit 2019 durch ein tongewordenes Laserlabyrinth aus chaotischem Noise Rock, experimentellem Metal und elektroakustischen Spielereien. Mit ihrem sehr vom Jazz inspirierten neuen Werk „Velours Dévorant“ im Gepäck unterstützt die Band, dessen Name im Übrigen aus einer Tetralogie Namens „Meer der Fruchtbarkeit“ vom japanischen Autor Yukio Mishimas stammt, Cave In auf ihrer Jupiter Jubliäumstour.

Steht ihr auf die chaotische Perfektion von Bands wie Ni oder lasst euch von garagiger Rriot Grrrl Noisigkeit hinreißen, solltet ihr euch diesen Opener nicht entgehen lassen.

Rooted in the hardcore scene, known in prog circles for their ventures into space rock, and celebrated for their arena-worthy hooks – only few bands embody the wide spectrum of the Hellseatic sound as quintessentially as American post-hardcore pioneers Cave In.

Formed in the mid-90s from the close-knit friendship between Stephen Brodsky (lead guitar, vocals), Adam McGrath (rhythm guitar, later vocals), Caleb Scofield (bass, vocals), and John-Robert Conners (drums), Cave In quickly rose to international recognition with their debut album Until Your Heart Stops. Their 2000 release Jupiter, a conceptual space odyssey, marked a turning point: catapulting them onto larger stages, winning critical praise, and building a fiercely loyal following.

Through the years, the band has endured both triumph and tragedy—not least the devastating loss of Caleb Scofield in 2018. Yet the foundation they laid in 1995 has held strong. With Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders, Old Man Gloom) now on bass and vocals, Cave In will perform "Jupiter" in its entirety on September 6 at Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus, in a rare Northern Germany appearance to kindle the anticipation for Hellseatic Festival 2026.
