Die Ost-West-AG ist eine NGO. Die AG interessiert sich für Verbindungen und Verbindungslosigkeiten zwischen Ost und West und mischt aktiv mit. In Düsseldorf – westdeutsche Partnerstadt von Europas diesjähriger Kulturhauptstadt Chemnitz – bringt sie Künstler*innen aus dem Ruhrgebiet, Rheinland, Sachsen, Thüringen und Berlin zusammen: Sie streiten und kochen, zeigen sich uneinig, singen und fragen nach, verbinden sich mit künstlerischem Aktivismus aus Ost- und Westdeutschland, informieren aus erster Hand über den Radikalenerlass, feiern den Punk und legen Protestsongs auf. Ihr Programm soll eins für eine bessere Gesellschaft werden, und sie laden Euch ein, Teil davon zu sein – mitten in der Stadt. Die Ost-West-AG ist stabil.

Die Ost-West-AG is an NGO. The group's interest lies in connections and the lack of them between East and West, and takes an active involvement. In Düsseldorf – the West German partner city of this year’s European Capital of Culture Chemnitz – they bring artists together from the Ruhr region, the Rhineland, Saxony, Thuringia and Berlin: they argue and cook, disagree, sing and ask why, ally themselves with artistic activism from East and West Germany, gain first-hand knowledge of the Radicals Decree, celebrate punk and play protest songs. Their programme is intended to be one for a better society and they invite you to take part – in the middle of the city. Die Ost-West-AG is stable.

IMPULSE FESTIVAL FÜR PERFORMANCE, THEATER & TANZ

An drei langen Festivalwochenenden – je einem in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Köln und Düsseldorf – werden herausragende Produktionen der Freien Szene aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz präsentiert. Dieser Showcase wird ergänzt um Positionen zum Verhältnis von Ost- und Westdeutschland im Rahmen eines „Post-West”-Schwerpunkts sowie um Ansichten aus der und auf die Gastgeber-Region NRW.

Wir freuen uns auf die erste gemeinsame Festivalsaison!

During three long festival weekends – one each in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Cologne and Düsseldorf – outstanding productions from the independent theatre scene from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be presented. This showcase will be complemented by positions on the relationship between East and West Germany as part of a ‘Post-West’ focus as well as views from and on the host region of NRW.
