Ballroom-Installation von ZOE im Filmmuseum Düsseldorf

This expansion does not mean that the galaxies themselves are moving, but that the space between them is expanding. When people ask me why I insist that diversity and representation beyond buzz wording really matter, I tell them: We need to take up space. Not to push anybody out. But to expand it. Am 4. Oktober präsentiert die Ballroom Community eine 14-minütige performative Ballroom-Installation mit Voguing-Elementen. Die Performance fand erstmalig im Dialog mit der Ausstellung „SELBST“ mit Werken von Norika Nienstedt und Michael Jonas im Haus der Kunst Palermo statt. Für die Aufführung in Düsseldorf wurde die Installation an das Filmmuseum angepasst.

Konzept und Künstlerische Leitung: ZOE aka Marie-Zoe Buchholz – Performance: David Mendez, Eray Gülay, Espoir Freitas, Dimitrios Tsiagkalis, Paula Pau & ZOE – Musical Direction: Amro Assy

Die Installation findet zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung „Ballroom Düsseldorf–Palermo“ mit Videoarbeiten von Fele La Franca statt. DJ Amro Assy wird anschließend auflegen. Eine Kooperation von Filmmuseum, TMD Theatermuseum Hofgartenhaus Düsseldorf, Verein Düsseldorf-Palermo e.V.  und The Art of Zoe.
