In the context of Gaswerk Music Days festival, the Gaswerk Music Market presents a fresh take on the traditional record fair, blending commerce with creativity in an inspiring and sensorial environment.

Featuring a diverse range of independent labels and record shops from Berlin and beyond, this event also showcases artists from the festival lineup and the Gaswerksiedlung community.

Beyond simply browsing and buying music, the market offers a rich and engaging experience with thoughtful listening sessions. Each participant is invited to share a track, offering insight into their label, work, or the music itself, all within a beautifully crafted setting — an altar to music, centred around our “holy turntable”. The listening sessions set the tone for an afternoon of discovery.

The market unfolds in the green embrace of the gART.n and transitions indoors to BLOCK1 as dusk sets in. To close the event, experimental sets by e/tape and Mike Shannon will bring the day to an unconventional, state-of-the-art mixing conclusion.

Gaswerk Music Days is the summer music festival organised by Gaswerksiedlung Berlin and taking place in its lush gardens, BLOCK1 event space, and creative studios. The event unites experimental electronics, African sounds, jazz, noise, avant-pop, kraut, improvisation and dance music under its “Radical Live Music” flag, binding and crossing genres in a program with over 20 acts on 2 stages.
Overcoming the classic fractures among genres, our program is devoted to live music, challenging sound, improvisation and discovery.
