This show features Gibby Haynes and a dozen fine young musicians, ages 13-19, playing Butthole Surfers songs, as well as some other classics and oddities. The student group, “Thunes Institute for Musical Excellence (TIME)" will also be opening the show with a set of classic punk songs.

Scott Thunes is best known for his long tenure in Frank Zappa's band during the 1980s, playing basss, inging background vocals, and serving as the official “Clonemeister,” running rehearsals for the Zappa band. He also recorded and toured with Zappa's sons Dweeziland Ahmet, and his music career has included work with the Waterboys, The Mother Hips and Fear, among others. These days he is a stay at home dad and music teacher in the Bay Area. The Scott Thunes Institute of Musical Excellence is composed of a select group of music students who have been under Scott Thunes’ tutelage for the past two years. Having been Frank Zappa’s bassist from 1981-1988, and his rehearsal leader (clonemeister) from 1984 on, Scott is perfectly suited to lead a bunch of talented teenagers through this music.
