Discover the extraordinary history of this building! Originally planned to be a business house, it was turned into the Gestapo-headquarter of Cologne. The memorial place in the cellar with the ten former cells of the Gestapo prison reminds visitors of the victims and terror during this time. More than 1800 wall inscriptions by prisoners bear witness to torture and murder. The exhibition »Cologne under National Socialism« gives you an insight into everyday life in Cologne during the years 1933 to 1945 as well as into the history of the EL-DE-House.
