Today (16 April) North-London artist Hohnen Ford makes her return with sublime new single “A Lot To Give,” a duet with multi-platinum, chart topping Birdy and her first release on new label home Giant Music. Listen here. Fresh from a recent run of dates supporting Orla Gartland, Hohnen Ford joins FINNEAS as very special guest support for the UK and EU legs of his tour in April and May. Rooted in themes of growth, identity and feminine resilience, “A Lot To Give” explores what women carry and release as they evolve. On the track, Ford and Birdy’s duet creates a spectral third voice, an ethereal presence woven through lush harmonies and textured instrumentation of piano, acoustic guitar and double bass. Recorded live during a still and misty late winter morning from Dom Monk’s studio in Frome, the very first take captured an unrepeatable magic. The result is a deeply atmospheric, haunting folk ballad that shimmers with kinship and the shared intuition of two singular artists. With a background in jazz voice from the Royal Academy and a musical upbringing steeped in soul, classical, and campfire harmonies, Ford’s work is rooted in emotional honesty and bold vulnerability. She’s toured with Wasia Project and Orla Gartland, and will soon hit the road as a very special guest support for FINNEAS. Her latest work continues to build on the textured, introspective sound that’s become her signature, proving her not just as a voice to watch, but one that’s here to stay. Birdy has solidified herself as one of the UKs leading homegrown talents, her incredible achievements to date include 3 top 5 albums and countless Platinum and Gold discs, marking sales in excess of 8 million records globally. Whether featuring on blockbuster soundtracks for the likes of Pixar, Netflix and Amazon, collaborating with leading artists across music genres or motivating a generation with a viral Tik Tok sound, Birdy is forever finding new ways to engage new audiences. Birdy continues to be an unmissable draw in the live arena too, her rich, multi-layered stage productions have seen her sell out three consecutive nights at The Sydney Opera House, play to over 10,000 people over two nights at London’s Eventim Apollo, plus many more on global world tours. She has also headlined many festivals across Europe and Asia, has proudly performed at Glastonbury Festival, while in the process earning both BRIT and Grammy nominations. -
