Mit Banjo, Gembri, Balafon, Kalimba, Gitarre, Synthesizer und weiteren außergewöhnlichen Instrumenten zaubert Iztok hypnotische Melodien und komplexe Rhythmen – oft gespielt auf mehreren Instrumenten gleichzeitig. Auf seiner aktuellen Tour steht sein neues Soloalbum „Spaces XIII“ im Mittelpunkt, ein Meisterwerk der Intimität und musikalischen Vielfalt.

Known for his work with the dreamy freak-folk trio Širom, the dynamic post-rock band Škm banda, and the chaotic noisecore duo Hexenbrutal, Iztok has carved a unique path in the world of experimental music. Using an array of instruments, including banjo, gembri, balafon, kalimba, percussion, steel drum, guitar, synthesizer, and Morin khuur, he creates intricate and otherworldly compositions. As a solo artist, he delves into the realms of freak noise folk, blending genres and playing multiple instruments simultaneously to produce mesmerizing performances.

[DE] Embryo ist ein einzigartiges Musikkollektiv aus München, welches Kraut Rock Jazz, freie Improvisation, inner und außereuropäische Rhythmen und Klänge verbindet wie kein Zweites. Embryo existiert seit 1969, übergreift Generationen, Genres und Grenzen. Ein internationales Kollektiv welches sich in einer stetigen Weiterentwicklung zu einem einzigartigen Musikprojekt entwickelt hat und bereits mit Mal Waldron, Okay Temiz, Fela Kuti, Charlie Mariano und vielen anderen spielte. Marja Burchard, Tochter des Gründers Christian Burchard, übernahm 2015 die Band in welcher sie aufwuchs. Seit dem lebt Embryo mit ihr weiter und sucht stets nach neuen Klängen, Rhythmen und Ideen anders denkender.

[EN] Embryo is a unique music collective from Munich, Germany, combining Kraut Rock Jazz, free improvisation, inner and outer European rhythms and sounds like no other. Embryo exists since 1969, spanning generations, genres and borders. An international collective that has evolved into a unique musical project and has played with Mal Waldron, Okay Temiz, Fela Kuti, Charlie Mariano and many others. Marja Burchard, daughter of the founder Christian Burchard, took over the band in which she grew up in 2015. Since then Embryo lives on with her, always looking for new sounds, rhythms and ideas of different thinking.
