Since 2018, Oxford/London collective Mandrake Handshake have been crafting a sonic signature they dub ‘Flowerkraut’: a hedonistic, brain-frying feast of krautrock, art-pop and psychedelia, spiced with enigmatic grooves, fizzing electronics and fearless improvisations.
Varying anywhere between 7-10 members - including a dedicated, flamboyant tambourine shaker, or ‘Bez’- their pristine, multi-limbed spectacle of a live show has journeyed up and down the UK and EU in recent years. With multiple headline tours to their name, including a sold-out show at the iconic 100 Club in March, the band can boast performances at Wide Awake, Green Man, Manchester Psych Fest, Mutations, Left of the Dial (NL), Supersonic (FR), Fusion Festival (DE) Wilderness and How The Light Gets In, as well as shows with psych-figureheads W.H Lung, Pale Blue Eyes, Triptides and Sugar Candy Mountain.
This Summer, the band headline the BBC Introducing stage at this Truck Festival (as holders of Introducing Oxford/Buckinghamshire’s ‘Act of the Year’), also performing a special showcase event in Brighton for up-and-coming independent fashion-maker Rabbit Baby, a regular ‘Mandrake’ Collaborator
With two critically acclaimed EPs to their name - 2021’s Shake The Hand That Feeds You and 2022’s The Triple Point of Water - the band's long list of press backers includes the The Independent, The i, The Line of Best Fit, Dork, DIY, So Young, Clash and NME.

Rasco is Eden Atiya (guitars, vocals), Gaya Wajsman (bass, vocals), and Itay Hamudi (drums) – a genre-defying trio pushing the boundaries of Garage and Shoegaze.
Sun-drenched melodies meet dreamy vocals and shoegaze vibes in a mesmerizing sonic world. More than just surf rock revivalists, they explore the dichotomy between city life and nature. Their sound reflects this tension, balancing electric riffs with mystical, nature-inspired lyrics.
Named after Charlie Megira’s hit song “At the Rasco”, and influenced by The Cramps, Beach Boys, Elvis, April March, and many more, they distills into their music the essence and sound of sixties surf and garage bands and combines it with vocal harmonies and Hebrew lyrics.
Eden Atiya (Electric guitar) met Gaya Wajsman (Bass guitar) at a weird little smokey cave in Jerusalem, they teamed up with Itay Hamudi (Drums) to create the band. Their upcoming album: “Dmaot” marks a significant evolution, showcasing their growth as artists and their ability to create a world of sound and emotion that’s uniquely their own.
