An evening full of big balkan energy and nostalgic sounds! There will be balkan snacks & of course some Rakija!

Merak is a space dedicated to fostering community and celebrating the rich, diverse cultures of the Balkan countries in the diaspora and back home. This means of course also connecting with everyone else, please come even if you’re not balkan.

This is a donation based event. Funds are raised for our dear community member’s gender affirming surgery, bosnian activist and performer @mathilda.kleo.1998 ❤️ even after insurance cover, costs of over thousands of euros are still open (operation itself, travel, accommodation, transport, medicine).

Every euro counts, but of course this shouldn’t stop you from coming, we understand everybody’s situation so please come join us anyways!🤫

For the ones giving 9€ and more, you even get a raffle ticket to win a print by @rorymidhani 🔥
